TRUE STORY FROM BIBLE

Once upon a time there lived a blind widow woman with her only son.
They were very poor and made a living by selling flowers.
She loved him dearly and made sure that his needs were satisfied. She also admitted him to a school.
He also loved her but when his friends at school started teasing him for his poverty and blind mother he felt embarrassed .

As he completed his studies and became independent he felt ashamed of living with a blind mother. So one day he told his mother that he is going out for sometime. But in reality he had gone abroad and he only informed his neighbors about it.

His mother awaited his return but he never returned.

Several years passed……….

One day her neighbor visited her and asked when her son will be coming back from abroad.
That day only she realized that her son had ditched her. But even in that situation she did not complain and she simply asked her neighbor whether she can help her go abroad.

So she left with the neighbor to meet her son…..

After reaching her son’s place she immediately felt his presence and with tears of love asked him how he was. But he insulted her saying that he did not know who she was.

From inside a lady and a small child came out and asked him who she was. He replied that he did not know her. On the other hand the mother was overjoyed to hear her daughter-in-law and grandchild’s voice. But the son paid no heed to her tears and asked her to leave immediately.

With a heavy heart the mother returned home and after some days she died in grief.

The neighbors informed the son immediately and he came back.

That day he found a letter addressed to him at his mother’s residence.
“Dear son,
At the age of 5 you met with an accident and lost your eyes. I thought maybe your need to see the world was far greater than mine and I donated my eyes to you.
With love
Your blind mother.”

That day the son realized that he was seeing the world with his mother’s eyes of whom he was very ashamed. That day he realized his mistake and was overcome with remorse and wished that he had his mother back.

MORAL: Never hate anyone just because they are physically handicapped.
